Every major image generator can turn a text prompt into a travel scene. The difference is whether the traveller in the picture is you.
This guide compares Pose AI with Midjourney, DALL·E and Stable Diffusion for travel photos made from text, and shows what to write in the prompt.
See the destinations in AI travel photo styles.
- For scenery alone, Midjourney, DALL·E and Stable Diffusion are all strong.
- For travel photos with you in them, Pose uses Nano Banana 2 and Flux Kontext with identity lock from one selfie, so the person is recognisably you.
- Write the destination, time of day, framing and outfit in the prompt; leave your face out of it.
- These are styled images, not proof of a trip: use them as creative content and say so if it matters.
Text-prompt travel photo tools compared
| Tool | Text to travel scene | You in the picture | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pose AI | Yes, through Image Studio and travel styles | Yes, identity-locked from one selfie (Nano Banana 2, Flux Kontext) | Travel photos that look like you |
| Midjourney | Yes, excellent scenery and mood | No reference to your face unless you add a reference image | Destination art and mood boards |
| DALL·E | Yes, simple prompt-to-image | No identity input; renders a generic person | Quick scenery and concepts |
| Stable Diffusion | Yes, highly configurable | Needs extra setup such as trained models to keep one face | Technical users who want control |
The scenery is similar everywhere. What separates the tools is whether you appear in it, and how much setup that takes.
What to put in a travel photo prompt
Name the place and the moment (for example, a stone bridge in Lisbon at golden hour), the framing (waist-up, three-quarter, wide), what the person wears, and the lighting. Add the mood and finish with quality tags.
With Pose, leave out descriptions of your face. The identity comes from your selfie, and describing your features can fight it.
Use them honestly
A generated travel photo is a styled image. It's good for creative content, a profile picture, a mood board or testing a trip look. It isn't evidence you were there, and it is worth saying so when it matters.
