A Shorts AI generator that only does one thing well is rarely enough — a single-model tool that generates a striking clip but drifts on identity between generations, or a talking-head app that has no way to generate B-roll, both fall short of what a channel actually needs week after week.
This lays out the five features that matter most, and where Pose's native stack does and does not cover each one.
The features described here run inside the Pose AI Video Studio.
- Native multi-model video: more than one generation engine in one account, so different shot types don't require a second subscription.
- Identity consistency: the same face across every clip, ideally locked at generation time rather than supplied per prompt.
- Motion control: directing camera movement or subject motion deliberately, rather than accepting whatever the model infers.
- Voice cloning: narration or dialogue in your own voice, generated alongside the video rather than recorded and synced separately.
- Vertical format optimization: 9:16 export by default, since that is the format both YouTube Shorts and TikTok actually use.
Key terms
A Short is a vertical video, typically under 60 seconds, published to YouTube's Shorts feed — the same rough length and format as a TikTok video or an Instagram Reel.
A Reel is Instagram's equivalent of a Short — vertical, short-form video with the same 9:16 aspect ratio, so content built for one platform generally works on the others without reformatting.
TikTok is the platform that popularised the short vertical video format that Shorts and Reels both followed — all three use the same underlying 9:16 shape, which is why a single generator can usually target all three at once.
Native multi-model video
A Shorts channel needs more than one kind of shot — a talking-head hook, a product close-up, a wide establishing scene, a fast cut — and a single-model tool forces every one of those into the same house look. Pose covers this with six native engines: Kling for camera-driven shots, SeedDance for subject motion, Wan for fast iteration, Veo and Sora 2 for photorealistic scenes and longer takes, and HeyGen for talking heads, all inside one account rather than requiring a separate subscription per model.
Identity consistency
A channel built around a recognisable face or persona breaks if that face drifts subtly between clips — a viewer scrolling a feed notices when the tenth video doesn't quite match the first. Most video models solve this by asking for a reference image per generation, which drifts over a long run. Pose locks identity from one selfie via Nano Banana 2 as a property of the generation itself, so consistency is the default rather than something you have to police clip by clip.
Motion control
Motion control means directing what moves in a clip — the camera, the subject, or both — instead of accepting whatever the model guesses from a text description. Pose's Motion Control lets Kling handle camera moves (push in, orbit, pan) and SeedDance handle subject motion, including motion transfer from a reference clip, which matters most in longer Shorts and in any clip that needs to avoid feeling like a static loop.
Voice cloning
Narration in a generic text-to-speech voice is one of the fastest tells that a Short was AI-generated. Pose's native ElevenLabs integration clones your own voice from a sample, and generates it together with the video rather than as a separate export-and-sync step — a real advantage over a pipeline that stitches a video tool and a voice tool together by hand. Cloning covers a speaking voice for narration and delivery, not singing, and cloning a voice that isn't your own needs documented permission.
Vertical format optimization
YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels all use the same 9:16 vertical format, so a generator that exports natively in that shape covers all three without a platform-specific setting. Pose exports 9:16 by default across all six engines, so a clip generated once works across every short-form platform without a reformat step.
